Refund & Return Policy

At The Basta Store, every product is carefully checked and packed before dispatch. Since our products are handmade and produced in limited quantities, we follow a structured return and refund policy.

Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.


Change of Mind / Personal Preference

We do not offer refunds for change of mind, personal preference, or if the product does not meet personal expectations.

However, in certain cases, we may offer:

  • An exchange, or

  • Store credit (at our discretion)

Shipping charges are non-refundable.


Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Products

Refunds, returns, or replacements will only be considered if:

  • The product is damaged during transit, or

  • The wrong product is delivered, or

  • The product has a manufacturing defect

Mandatory Unboxing Video Requirement

To initiate any return, refund, or replacement request, the customer must provide a clear, continuous unboxing video.

The video must:

  • Start before opening the sealed package

  • Clearly show the shipping label

  • Show the product being removed from the package without any cuts or edits

No unboxing video = no refund, return, or replacement.
This rule is strictly followed to prevent misuse.


Time Frame to Raise a Request

  • Any issue must be reported within 24 hours of receiving the package

  • The unboxing video must be shared within the same 24-hour window

Requests raised after 24 hours of delivery will not be accepted, even if an issue is found later.


Verification & Approval

Once we receive:

  • The unboxing video, and

  • Order details

Our team will verify whether the issue is from our side.

  • If approved, we will offer a replacement or store credit

  • Refunds are issued only if a replacement is not possible

All decisions made by The Basta Store after verification are final.


When Returns or Refunds Are Not Applicable

Refunds or returns will not be accepted in the following cases:

  • No unboxing video provided

  • Request raised after 24 hours of delivery

  • Minor variations in color, texture, or finish (due to handmade nature)

  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery address provided by the customer

  • Recipient unavailable or order refused at delivery

  • Products damaged due to customer mishandling

  • Customised or personalised products


Custom & Personalised Orders

Products made specifically on request (custom prints, embroidery, personalised items, etc.) are non-returnable, non-refundable, and non-exchangeable, unless:

  • The product is damaged, defective, or incorrect and

  • A valid unboxing video is provided within 24 hours


Return Shipping

  • If the issue is verified to be from our side, return pickup will be arranged by us.

  • If the issue is not from our side, no return or refund will be processed.


Refund Processing

Approved refunds (if applicable) are processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method.
