REFUND & REPLACEMENT POLICY

Refund & Replacement Policy – The Basta Store

At The Basta Store, all products are handmade and produced in limited quantities. Due to the nature of our products, we follow a replacement-first policy to ensure fairness while maintaining product integrity.

1. Replacement Eligibility

We offer replacement only under the following conditions:
Product received is damaged at the time of delivery
Product has a manufacturing defect affecting usability
Incorrect product has been delivered
Requests outside these conditions will not be accepted.

2. Request Timeline

All requests must be raised within 48 hours of delivery
Requests made after this period will not be considered.

3. Mandatory Proof Requirement

To initiate a replacement request, customers must provide:
A clear unboxing video (starting from sealed package opening)
Visible proof of the issue (damage or defect)
Requests without an unboxing video will not be approved.

4. What Qualifies as a Manufacturing Defect

Manufacturing defects refer only to issues that affect the functionality or durability of the product, including:
-Open or broken stitching
-Faulty zip or closure
-Loose or detached straps/handles
-Fabric damage present at delivery

5. What Does NOT Qualify

The following are not considered valid reasons for replacement:
-Natural softening of the bag over time (due to cotton/quilted material)
-Minor handmade variations in stitching or finishing
-Slight color or print differences
-Print placement variations
-Change of mind or personal preference

-Damage caused after use
-Minor loose threads not affecting functionality

6. Replacement Process

Once the request is verified and approved, a replacement will be arranged
Replacement will be provided for the same product, subject to availability
If the same product is unavailable:
A similar product may be offered, OR
Store credit may be issued

7. Refunds (Limited Cases Only)

Refunds will be processed only if:
Replacement is not possible, AND
No suitable alternative product is available
Approved refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment

method.

8. Return of Product (If Required)

Customers may be required to return the product before replacement is processed
Return instructions will be shared after approval
The product must be unused and in original condition

9. Order Cancellation

Orders cannot be cancelled once they are processed or shipped
Cancellation requests before dispatch (if accepted) will be refunded accordingly
